An unconventional power pack, this cylinder sharpens up your T5's sporty
image. In contrast to the original T5 cylinder, this tuning goodie is trimmed
for performance in lower ranges and can take your breath away with impressive
starts.
POLINI has produced in this beauty in their traditional
manner with a cleanly finished cast iron cylinder with 6 transfers. The original
PIAGGIO 125ccm cylinder, in comparison, is made of aluminum.
Still, the POLINI is fun to drive, and used in combination
with the 24Si original carburetor, is problem free in town traffic. For trips
out in the country or on the freeway a longer transmission, sport exhaust and
larger carburetor 28mm+ is called for. A modified cylinder head is important for
all versions. We recommend here the CNC milled Highlight from MMW.
The price/performance winner for Vespa T5 models. Like all POLINI cylinders,
hearty torque in lower ranges and noticeable performance from the get go. An
improvement on the original T5 cylinder.

Cast iron cylinder, 52mm stroke 6 transfers, piston with 2x 1.5mm piston
rings, compression 11.4:1, exhaust width 58%, includes base gaskets. Plug &
Play, in first step, modifications not necessary. Jets and ignition should be
checked and optimized.
TIP: modified original head or the optional MMW
CNC cylinder head are a must. A noticeable performance increase possible with
longer transmission, race exhaust such as SIP Performance and EVO, PM or
SCORPION and 28er carburetor. For those wanting to carve out more power, the
cylinder has potential. Due to the simple cast rings, don't go overboard with
the exhaust width. For further tuning we recommend the Wiseco or
Wössner piston.
