Performance pipe for Vespa V50 and PV with or without toolbox in left side panel.
Now with BSAU code!
The development objective of this pipe was to surpass the power output of the PM40 and at the same time widen the power band. This pipe still delivers its max. power at relatively low revs, but still allow for a good overrev potential.
This pipe is meant for unported or slightly ported Malossi, M1 and M1L barrels or for ported Polini barrels for mainly street use or longer trips.
The pipe resembles the Zirri Silent in its layout, with the pipe pointing down and forward and the silencer pointing backwards. This makes for its subtle looks and also allows the pipe to be fitted on scooters with the toolbox still in place.
For easier fitting the pipe is splitable in two parts. Oblong holes on the exhaust flange and the retaining plate allow the pipe to be fitted to different barrels and engines.
The silencer is made of strong alloy and very silent. It is plugged in and secured with a stainless steel clamp, the connection is sealed with a temperature resistant Viton-ring.
The pipe is compatible to 3.50-10 tyres and also has enough ground clearance in curves, which makes it a good choice the race track. This pipe was fitted to the winning scooter (with an M1L engine) of the Stoneheads Racing Team in the Best of All finale on the Harzring in 2008.
V1: The pipe and its components are exclusively manufactured and welded in Germany, with the single exception of the silencer which is imported from Italy. All this guarantees a high qualtiy of the welding seams and the fitting accuracy of the parts. Each pipe was assembled and adjusted in a V50 frame.
V2: Due to high demand the second version now gets produced in big numbers outside Germany which reduces price massively. All exhausts get checked and completed by us. They will be deliveres including a strong alloy silencer or optional with the already known carbon silencer. The noise is further reduced by the alloy silencer compared to the carbon one. V2 is heat painted in black and also available in polished stainless steel. Power and design are completely the same as V1.
optimal exhaust port timings:
The diagramm shows LTH Road against Piaggio Banana exhaust with 30mm MRP tube. The engine is an unaltered 133 Polini with 24mm read valve and 24mm PHB carb, PK XL flywheel and Marchald airfilter. The casing is adopted to the inlet manifold and the cylinder transfers. It pulls easily the 2.54 transmission with long 4th!
